He both designed his carpets and oversaw their production, conceiving the pattern and directing its execution himself, in fine merino wool and silk on a pure silk foundation, with top-grade natural dyes and exceptionally high knot counts. It is these first-generation pieces, from the founder’s own era, that collectors prize. The Enteshari name would later pass into broader, more commercial production, but the early work stands apart as the fine and collectible expression of the house.
In a recollection published in 2022, the later designer and producer Akbar Mahdiei counted “the late Master Bahram Enteshari” among the earlier generation whose artistic intelligence had shaped the carpet world of Isfahan. A carpet from Bahram Enteshari’s own workshop is the purest form of the name he created.
